Stand with Cuba against imperialist aggression! 
Cuba’s Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla exposed at the United Nations the brutal reality of the US blockade: families enduring blackouts, children studying in darkness, hospitals forced to operate with cellphone flashlights, and shortages of fuel, food and medicines imposed by a policy designed to weaken an entire nation.
Rodríguez Parrilla’s speech was a powerful exposure and condemnation of the decay and violence of the entire U.S. imperialist system.
Washington pressuring other governments to oppose discussion at the UN reveal not strength, but fear of international scrutiny and the truth about imperialist sanctions.
Rodríguez Parrilla exposed the hypocrisy of US claims about human rights by pointing to the daily brutal violence of ICE attacks against migrants, the domination of US politics by corporate interests, and the attacks against Cuba’s internationally recognised medical solidarity missions. The same government that lectures the world on democracy continues to use economic coercion, political pressure and military power to maintain its global dominance.
For more than six decades, Cuba has shown that the Cuban revolution can resist the most powerful imperialist power on earth. Its struggle is an example to the peoples of the Global South and the Global North: sovereignty cannot be surrendered and dictated by Washington.
