Havana Convention Centre — The First International Colloquium — Fidel: Legacy and the Future has begun, a three-day gathering forming part of the programme commemorating the centenary of the birth of Fidel Castro, historic leader of the Cuban Revolution.
The Partido Lakas ng Masa (PLM) honours Fidel’s legacy and the revolutionary lessons of Cuba—the first Socialist Revolution in the Western Hemisphere.
For more than six decades, the U.S. imperialist state has sought to crush the Cuban Revolution through blockade, economic warfare and relentless aggression. Yet Cuba has survived. It continues to resist, to defend its sovereignty and to stand as a living challenge to imperialism.
That Cuba remains standing after more than sixty years of U.S. hostility is no accident. It is a testament to the strength of the Revolution, the determination of its leadership and, above all, the courage, resilience and internationalism of the Cuban people.
Cuba’s survival is itself an indictment of imperialism.
¡Viva Cuba socialista!
¡Viva Fidel!
¡Viva la Revolución Cubana!
¡Abajo el bloqueo imperialista!
