BAN TRUMP! WAR CRIMINAL, MASS MURDERER, AND RAPIST NOT WELCOME IN THE PHILIPPINES!

PLM statement on Donald Trump’s visit to the Philippines amid the ASEAN Summit in November 2026

The Partido Lakas ng Masa (PLM) strongly condemns and rejects the impending visit of US President Donald Trump to the Philippines in November 2026 for the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Summit. Trump represents a US imperialist order that fuels wars of aggression, enables Israel’s genocide against the Palestinian people, and deepens the exploitation of peoples and plunder of resources across the Global South.

His visit in conjunction with the ASEAN Summit is a grave insult to the Filipino people’s struggle for sovereignty, liberation, and social justice. The Summit risks becoming another platform for Washington to consolidate its political, economic, technological, and military control over Southeast Asia. The United States, a major driver of global militarization and conflict, cannot be allowed to dictate the region’s future under the guise of security and development.

Beyond being a terrorist and mass murderer, Trump is a misogynist, rapist, and pedophile coddler, which makes the Philippine government’s warm welcome all the more nauseating and disgraceful. His record and policies warrant political condemnation, not diplomatic honors or a red carpet welcome.

US Imperialism: War, plunder, and suffering From Palestine to Iran, Venezuela, and Cuba, US imperialism continues to intensify aggression, coercive sanctions, and genocidal foreign intervention. Its costs fall on the masses through death, displacement, hunger, poverty, and economic insecurity.

Filipinos likewise suffer from low wages, landlessness, rising costs, and deteriorating public services under a neoliberal system that prioritizes corporate profits over people’s needs. Under Marcos Jr., the Philippines is increasingly drawn into Washington’s geopolitical agenda, compromising national sovereignty and regional peace in exchange for false promises of investment and security.

Pax Silica: Deepening US imperialist control through technological maldevelopment Pax Silica, presented as a supply chain and advanced manufacturing initiative, risks subordinating Philippine land, resources, and infrastructure to US strategic interests amid escalating US-China rivalry.

The proposed 4,000-acre hub in New Clark City in Tarlac raises serious concerns over foreign land control, environmental destruction, and the displacement of farmers and Indigenous Aeta communities. Its reported annual demand of 39 billion liters of water and three gigawatts of power warrants opposition, especially as Filipino communities continue to grapple with water shortages and energy crises.

With critical minerals, semiconductors, AI, and energy infrastructure carrying military applications, Pax Silica risks reinforcing US dominance in the region. Filipinos must not bear the environmental, economic, and security costs of a technological race designed to preserve US supremacy.

The Philippines should not be a US military outpost Pax Silica must be viewed alongside the expansion of US military presence through the Enhanced Defense Cooperation Agreement (EDCA), the Visiting Forces Agreement (VFA), and joint Balikatan exercises. With EDCA sites expanding from five to nine, the Philippines faces greater risks of becoming a staging ground for US military operations and a frontline in its rivalry with China.

The reported launch of a US Tomahawk cruise missile during Balikatan exercises in May 2026 further raises concerns about military escalation, civilian safety, and the use of Philippine territory for war. As such, genuine sovereignty demands an independent foreign policy, an end to foreign military intervention, and a regional order grounded in peace and self-determination.

No red carpet for Trump, no suppression of protests The declaration of November 16-18, 2026, as special non-working days in the National Capital Region (NCR) raises concerns over Malacañang’s desperate plea to restrict protests during the ASEAN Summit and Trump’s visit. The Marcos Jr. government, a notorious US puppet, must not use security measures or intimidation to silence dissent and manufacture public consent.

Reports of arrests linked to protests against Pax Silica and the Luzon Economic Corridor (LEC) underscore the need to defend the people’s right to challenge agreements made without meaningful democratic participation. We denounce the use of public resources and national institutions to serve Washington’s agenda as perpetuated by political dynasties and oligarchs.

Down with US imperialism, serve the Filipino people! PLM calls on the masses and democratic forces to mobilize against Trump’s expected visit and US imperialist domination. We demand: ● Reject Trump’s visit and deny state honors to a leader whose policies fuel war and oppression; ● Oppose Pax Silica and militarization, protect Philippine resources, the environment, and community rights; ● End US military expansion and assert an independent foreign policy; ● Defend the right to protest and stop the repression of mass dissent; and ● Break elite and foreign domination and prioritize decent wages, land rights, public services, and economic independence.

To Malacañang: Expect the people in the streets! Our struggle goes beyond rejecting Trump. It means dismantling imperialist domination and elite privilege towards building a government of the masses that will truly defend national sovereignty and advance social justice.#

TRUMP, WAR CRIMINAL, MASS MURDERER, AND RAPIST NOT WELCOME IN THE PHILIPPINES! US IMPERIALIST, NO. 1 TERRORIST! US, LAYAS SA PINAS AT ASYA! IMPERYALISMO, IBAGSAK!
