In Solidarity with the Transport Strike — Link the Struggles, Broaden the Fight
We stand in full solidarity with PISTON and the BAYAN forces leading the transport workers strike.
This strike is just, necessary, and must be supported and expanded.
The fight against soaring fuel prices is not just economic—it is political.
Because behind rising oil prices, worsening conditions, and government inaction lies a deeper problem: A system of corruption, elite rule, and political dynasties that serve profit—not the people— and are subservient to US imperialism.
The fuel crisis is not just about prices—it is about who controls the economy and the state.
It also reflects the structure of imperialist exploitation and control—shaped by wars waged against countries that resist domination (such as Venezuela and Iran, both rich in oil reserves).
As long as:
• Political dynasties dominate power
• Corruption protects corporate interests
• Governments favor profit over people
• The Philippine ruling class remains subservient to US imperialism
The crisis will continue, no matter how many temporary fixes are introduced.
The transport strike shows the power of organized resistance.
The anti-corruption movement exposes the rotten core of the system.
United, these struggles become a force capable of real change.
We therefore link the demands:
Immediate demands
• Rollback oil prices
• Scrap VAT and excise taxes
• Repeal the Oil Deregulation Law
• Provide real subsidies and living wages

• Fight corruption and elite control
• Assert national sovereignty against US imperialism
